Privacy Policy

Veritads is operated by Rewardy Media AB, a company registered in Sweden. We are the data controller responsible for personal data processed through the Platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data We Collect

Account data

When you register, we collect your email address, display name, and a securely hashed password. We also store your account type (Clipper or Advertiser) and timestamps for account creation and last sign-in.

Social account data

When you connect a social media account, we store the platform name, your username (handle), verification status, and a platform-specific user ID (for example your YouTube channel ID or TikTok username). This identifier is used to verify that videos you submit were posted by you. Temporary verification codes are stored only until verification is complete or the code expires, after which they are deleted.

Clip submission data

When you submit a clip, we store the post URL, the platform, your handle at the time of submission, and video metadata retrieved from the platform (including view count, like count, comment count, share count, save count, and post date). We also store your cumulative earnings and payout history for each clip.

Payout data

When you request a payout, we store your chosen payout method (PayPal, gift card, or cryptocurrency), your withdrawal address (such as a PayPal email address, a crypto wallet address, or a gift card recipient email), the amounts requested and paid, applicable fees, and the transaction status and timestamps.

Technical and security data

We temporarily store IP addresses and user identifiers for rate limiting and security purposes. This data is not retained beyond the duration of the rate limiting window (typically minutes to hours) and is used solely to protect the Platform from abuse.

Usage and analytics data

We use analytics tools to collect anonymised data about how users interact with the Platform, including pages visited, features used, session duration, and device information. This data is used to understand user behaviour and improve the Platform. Analytics are only activated with your consent.

Communications

We store records of transactional emails sent to you, such as payout confirmations and account verification messages. If you consent to marketing communications, we store your preference and may send you product updates, news, and promotional content. You can withdraw this consent at any time.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under GDPR Art. 6:

• Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): Account data, social account data, clip submission data, and payout data are processed to deliver the service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Rate limiting, fraud prevention, and platform security. Our legitimate interest is in keeping the Platform safe and fair for all users.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): Financial and payout records are retained for 7 years in accordance with Swedish accounting law (Bokforingslagen).
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): Analytics cookies and marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

3. Data Processors

We share data with third-party service providers who act on our behalf and are bound by data processing agreements. Categories of processors include:

• Cloud infrastructure and hosting providers that store and serve your account data securely
• Authentication providers that manage secure sign-in and session handling
• Social media data providers that retrieve publicly available profile and content metadata for ownership verification and view count tracking
• Security and abuse prevention providers that temporarily process IP addresses and user identifiers for rate limiting
• Email delivery providers that send transactional emails such as payout confirmations
• Analytics providers that collect anonymised usage data to help us improve the Platform (only with your consent)
• Payment processors that handle payout disbursements via your chosen withdrawal method (PayPal, gift cards, or cryptocurrency)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Retention

• Account and profile data: Retained for the lifetime of your account, then deleted within 30 days of account closure.
• Financial and payout records: Retained for 7 years in accordance with Swedish accounting law, regardless of account status.
• Social account and clip data: Retained for the lifetime of your account.
• Rate limiting data: Retained for minutes to hours only, then automatically purged.
• Analytics data: Subject to the retention policies of the analytics providers we use.

5. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data where we no longer have a lawful basis to retain it. Note that financial records must be retained for 7 years by law and cannot be erased early.
• Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to restriction: Request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
• Right to object: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
• Right to withdraw consent: Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

6. Supervisory Authority

If you believe we have handled your personal data incorrectly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish data protection authority:

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or via a notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
